The ultimate goal here is to create a work of art by looking back on a story that's both beautiful and tragic, inspiring and courageous, and will no doubt give you pause, if even briefly, to contemplate your own life and how lucky we all are just to be here!
The song is written, the appointments have been made, the resources have been contacted and the finances are literally manifesting at this very moment so there is no unseen challenge worthy of halting this creation and the only risk is what profound, contemplative and inspiring effect Melissa's Song may have on you Questions about this project? After almost 1 year of bleeding, constipation, and irregular bowel movements, Melissa finally confided in a friend about these issues. The friend urged her to speak with a colorectal surgeon who, in turn, put a stop to the planned surgery and sent her for medical tests to determine what was causing these irregularities. The colonoscopy revealed a tumor the size of a golf ball near her sphincter; it was found to be cancerous.
